Breath Counting Meditation

1] Settle down in a quiet place:

Settle down in a quiet place where you will not be distracted and disturbed. Sit down on a cushion or chair with straight back. Wear loose clothes and close your eyes completely.

2] Take a few slow and deep Breaths:

Take a few slow and deep breaths, don't worry if your initial breaths are quick and shallow. It will slowly go deep and slow.

3] Start counting each Breath Silently:

When your breath is slow and deep start counting your breath silently. One complete breath includes one inhale and one exhale. Breath in and breath out and count "1". Again breath in & out and count "2". Repeat the same steps till count "8". when you reach count "8" start again from count "1" and do 3 sets.
After some days when doing 3 sets becomes effortless for you then increase number of counts in each set from 8 to 15, 24, 30 and so on.
